p.c. on campus

It is interesting to compare academia`s reaction to Larry Summers vs. their reaction to Ward Churchill. Apparently, a remark made out of simple curiousity about possible innate differences between the sexes is far worse than Churchill`s general anti-Americanism and his comments that the victims of 9/11 deserved to die. According to these apparent rules, Churchill deserves academic protection, and Summers deserves ostracism. It is difficult to understand why people don`t recognize that there really is a political bias on our campuses.
